Am not ashamed of the Cross
Uttermost Evangelist Team (UET) Brief history
UET started as a student focused fellowship in the University of Nairobi. Its original focus was to nurture, and mentor young born again Christians to withstand the perils of campus life. Overtime, the Team has undergone numerous changes either naturally or through re-engineering processes to remain relevant to a fast-changing world. The Team has remained faithful to the great commission call by our Lord Jesus Christ “… Go ye therefore unto the entire world and preach the gospel….” Mathew 28:19-20.
UET has been in existence since 1983 and has continued to grow from strength to strength in issues of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and mentoring young Christians in the University Branches. In the Universities, brethren engage in nurturing and mentoring one another besides organizing evangelistic outreaches to other parts of the country. The non-university branches besides evangelism, are involved in programmes focusing on Christian leadership development and community outreach including community development and capacity building programmes, areas that enhance holistic living.
Uttermost Evangelistic Team (UET) is an organization registered under the societies Act with a mandate of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Kenya and other Nations of the world. The organization has its headquarters in Machakos and has branches in 14 universities in Kenya for students and 3 non-student branches in Nairobi, Machakos, Kitui counties and a fellowship in Makueni County.
